Brooks 2017 Extended Tirage Sparkling Riesling

Sourced from old vines in the Hyland vineyard, this is bone dry, aromatic and packed with flavor. Preserved lemon, orange rind and crisp apple with a touch of brine combine in a fascinating and extended palate. I served it at a dinner party and here's how the conversation went. Guest #1:  "Sparkling Riesling! Who knew?" (Look up sekt). Guest #2: "Is it sweet?" (No!) Guest #3: "This is really good!" Guest #4:  "More please" Moral of the story - whatever you may think, this wine should be tried. It is truly delicious, and offered at a discount on the winery website. Enjoy it now for sure, but how interesting it will be to see it develop with further age.
