Lichtenwalter 2019 Estate Pinot Noir

Many of the 2019 Oregon Pinots have a tight, compact frame, often with tannins showing flavors of green tea, as is true here. These are wines with cellar potential—they are about structure more than immediate accessibility, with plenty of mixed herb and soil components. That's not to discourage near-term drinking. This estate-grown wine is perfectly proportioned, expressive of both its place and its time, and represents a fine value. The 2018 vintage is also recommended. These notes are for 2019.
