Nicolas-Jay 2019 Bishop Creek Pinot Noir

Bishop Creek is the estate vineyard, now three decades old and fully into its prime. The wine is dark and meaty, and it drinks bigger than its 13% alcohol would suggest. Blackberry, black cherry, maybe some tangy boysenberry in there also. I like the grip and power coiled within this wine, which should be most interesting at about 10 years of age – if you can wait. Note – the website lists this as an upcoming November release.

288 cases; 13%; $100 (Yamhill-Carlton)
