Andrew Rich 2020 Willamette Valley Gamay Noir

The Beaujolais grape can be something of an afterthought in Oregon, but in the right hands, as here, it makes a lush, fruity, complex and detailed wine which is also an exceptional value. Floral aromas, blue fruits, lightly chewy tannins and a layered finish are all in play here. Lingering flavors of dark chocolate and espresso trail out gracefully.
