Secret Squirrel 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

A sister brand to Corliss and Tranche, one sip and you sense the kinship. To begin, 2017 is the current vintage, and after 22 months in French oak it's been given still more bottle age ahead of release. The packaging is clever and the glass has the deep punt usually found in pricier wines. The wine? Delicious, dark, fragrant with coffee, black cherry, cassis, clean earth, tobacco and more. Tannins are gritty and ripe, adding length and texture. It's a full-on Bordeaux blend with Cab Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot in the mix.

10164 cases; 14.5%; $25
